Agip—short for Azienda Generale Italiana Petroli—was founded in Italy in 1926 and became a symbol of post-war modernity and industrial optimism. When the brand expanded into Ethiopia, it brought with it the promise of progress and connection—paved roads, bustling city life, and a little flash of Italian flair in the Horn of Africa.
